Oh how very true this quote is to me.

When I was in college, I didn’t feel inspired to go, but felt “obligated” to go.

You see, I wanted to join the Marines (US Military) after high school, but I allowed my parents to persuade me “going to college and getting a good education.”

Besides, as they described, “how else are you going to get a good job without an education.”

So, for the first couple of years, I did what I thought I “should” be doing, rather then following my heart to where I felt compelled to go.

For me, I felt lost, frustrated and downright unhappy following “their” path.

This quote reminds me of the importance of doing what I am inspired to do AND knowing what that is – because it implies the futility of not following your life direction or knowing what it is.  This can be referred to as your path.

Let’s face it, a lack of clarity is one of your biggest obstacles to living your ideal life.

Clarity is one of the “Big Three.” Attempting to achieve greater success without these three elements is like going on a trip without knowing where you’re going.

When you are clear, things are easy to understand. It may sound like a simple concept, but let’s look a little deeper.

Think about the manager (maybe yours) who tells the employee; “you’ve got to work harder.” How about the spouse who says; “I need you to help out more.” What about the entrepreneur who needs five minutes to explain what he does for a living? And then there’s the person who wants ‘more’ out of life… they just doesn’t know what that is.

Have you heard the expression, “Keep your eye on the ball?” It means being clear about where you’re going. The “ball” is your objective, goal or intention. It acts as your guide so that when you stray off-course, you can correct and continue.

Are you living your ideal life? Have you ever clarified what your ideal life is? Are you happy with your lifestyle? Your income? Your travel? Do you have the material things you want… you know, the house, the car, the clothes?

There are people in your life who are so clear about what they don’t have and what they don’t want. Amazing clarity, but ask them what they do have and what they do want and you will probably stump them to come up with an answer.

Being clear, or having clarity, can benefit you in all areas of your life. In regards to your health, you may want to ‘be in better shape’ or ‘look better.’ But until you get very clear about what it is you want, you’ll continue to experience much of the same results you have been experience.

Next to fear, the lack of clarity is one of the biggest obstacles in your path. How can you live the life of your dreams, grow your business or have abundant health if you aren’t sure what that means?

Getting clear is not rocket science, it’s pretty simple. It’s about specifics. It’s about creating word pictures to remove the guesswork and set you up for success.

If you have employees, it’s about giving very specific, detailed instructions about what it is you expect and what you are unwilling to tolerate.

In relationships, it could be about describing specifically what you want or need, and how the other person can help you.

With yourself, it’s about deciding what you want in each of your core factors; health, business, etc.

If you are saying things similar to those below, you would benefit by gaining greater clarity:

“I’m trying to ‘figure-it-out…’
“I’m not sure what my passion is…”
“I don’t know how I can prosper doing….”

The clarity of your intention is directly proportional to the clarity of your result. If you’re not happy with your result, get clearer.

At the beginning of this article, we mentioned “The Big Three: Clarity, Focus and Action.” Success is about getting clear about what you want in every area of your life, focusing your energy toward those intentions, and taking consistent right-action to achieve those intentions.

It surprises people when they learn they can start right away.

You can do it right now… as a matter of fact, that’s the only time to start doing it.

You see, living your ideal life can begin right now. Sure, you might not have the combination of the big three you would like right now, but there are ways to start right now.

In prior messages we discussed the importance of clarity to your success.

As a rule, to the degree you are clear is the degree to which you are successful (as you define success)

Put simply, your “Clarity Level = Success Level”

How can you begin living your ideal life if you have never clarified what that means?

If you want to see the quality of your life increase, gain greater clarity over what your ideal life means to you.

For instance, saying you want more (insert one of the big three) is not being very clear.
However, saying you desire to work from a gorgeous, 5,000 square foot home with an upstairs office overlooking the mountains so you can be home while your kids grow up and enjoy the benefits of serving clients and your children at the same time… is very clear (and powerful).

Most people respond to the above with something like; “But I don’t know what I want.” The challenge is the above statement may have taken someone months or years to get clear about.

That’s months or years of following a system to refine their intention until it inspired them to act. That’s exactly the process the Let Your Millionaire Out® Success System is going to lead you through.

Now, there is a one more very critical factor involved in gaining greater clarity. This one factor is overlooked by the majority of the thousands of people I have worked with.
